Who we are
The Attention Layer is a weekly magazine at theattnlayer.com. This page covers the site and membership. Write to hello@theattnlayer.com.
What we collect
You can read the free issues without an account. If you create one, we keep your email so we can sign you in. If you continue with Google, Google shares that email (and your name, if you allow it) with us.
If you become a member, we keep that you paid, the plan, and when it renews or ends. We do not store your full card number. The payment is handled by Dodo Payments.
Like any website, the servers see the usual request data — address, browser, which pages you open. We do not run ads and we do not sell a profile of you.
What we use it for
To run your account, open the issues you have paid for, take and cancel the membership, and send mail about the account or a payment. That is all.
Who else sees it
Google, if you sign in with Google — under Google’s privacy policy. Dodo Payments, if you subscribe, for the charge and the invoice. We do not sell your information to anyone else.
How long, and how to delete
The account stays until you ask us to remove it. Email hello@theattnlayer.com. You can cancel a membership from your account without deleting the account; access lasts until the end of the period you already paid for. The payment company may keep records they are required to keep.
Children
The magazine is written for researchers and engineers. It is not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update this page and the date above. The current version is always at theattnlayer.com/privacy.
